One of the most successful and highest-grossing film franchises to date is The Fast & The Furious movies which have always been a favorite of gearheads and car aficionados alike as racing and fast cars are central to the theme. Inspired by an article in Vibe magazine in 1998 called “Racer X” and borrowing its title from the 1954 film The Fast and the Furious, the first of the current film series was released in 2001 and was a huge hit featuring street racing and cars blazing down the street at top speed.

Since the franchise debuted back in 01’ it has spawned ten main movies, a spinoff movie, animated series, videogames, short films, live shows, theme park attractions, commercials, toys, and much more. While the film series originally centered around street racing different muscle and modern cars the franchise has shifted into more complex stories involving capers and espionage though it still prominently features many different cool cars in high-speed driving and wild chase scenes. Part of the fun of many seeing a Fast & Furious movie is to see what cars will be shown off, anything from vintage to brand-new modern and everything in between, and here are the Top Ten Cars from Fast X.

10 Chevy Impala

Fast X Cast has the popular Jason Mamoa play Dante, a villain who drives a very cool purple 1966 Chevrolet Impala. Mamoa’s character is out for vengeance and as they say, revenge is a dish best served cold, and it doesn’t get much cooler than the classic Chevy muscle car he gets to race in the picture.

The Fast & Furious franchise has plenty of villains and antagonists ready to race and Dante’s Lavender Impala falls right in line and seems to be heavily customized under the hood to boost power and help the character Dante get revenge for a beef going all the way back to Fast & Furious 5 where his family apparently perished in a crazy car chase over a bridge. Mamoa and his fourth-generation Impala are sure to steal scenes and cause trouble!

9 Dodge Charger R/T

One of the most famous and recurring Fast and Furious cars is the main character’s 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. Vin Diesel plays the common protagonist throughout the Fast series, Dominic “Dom” Toretto whose favorite car is his 70’ Challenger that keeps coming back even after being in multiple accidents and receiving tons of damage in several of the movies.

The hot-rod is not just an iconic car in the Fast and Furious series but also just one of the most famous muscle cars of all time with its V8 rated at 290hp but with optional engines including a Hemi with up to 425 horsepower. Of course, all of Dom’s Challengers in the movies are supposedly customized to squeeze out unholy amounts of horsepower for all the carnage-filled races and chase scenes the franchise is famous for.

8 Lamborghini Gallardo

The Fast X Cars feature a gamut of vehicles from the more economical and quirky to lofty sports cars such as the famous and sporty Lamborghini Gallardo. The new Fast series movie features a golden-colored Gallardo in a chase scene that is filmed in the car’s native home country of Italy.

The Lamborghini is driven in Fast X by Roman Pearce, played by actor Tyrese Gibson, which fans of the franchise will agree is very much aligned with the fictional character’s taste in cars as shown throughout the Fast movie installments. The 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo has a 5.0-liter air-aspirated V-10 engine that can pump out a massive 500 horsepower @ 7800rpm and is very fast as shown in the movie’s one of many, intense car chase action sequences.

7 Chevrolet El Camino

The so-called coupe utility vehicle which hints at being a pickup was Chevy’s response to the Ford Fairlane and was a standard part of the lineup for Chevrolet from 1959 to 1987. In Fast the car is driven by the main character Dom’s brother, Jakob Toretto, played by actor and former wrestler, John Cena.

In the movie, Cena drives a gorgeous black 1967 El Camino that bears some interesting modifications, namely a rocket launcher mounted on its side. While in 67’ an El Camino with the highest engine option could have a V-8 that pumps out a strong 350 horsepower the cars are not usually thought of in fast racing terms, but the cannon mounted on its sides give it all the street cred and edge it needs to be in a Fast series movie.

6 Ford Fairlane

Fast and Furious 10 displays a Ford classic with roots in the 1950s chrome fender era of automobiles, the illustrious Ford Fairlane. Another very cool muscle car that Jason Momoa’s character Dante gets to drive in the film is a maroon colored 1966 Ford Fairlane. 66’ Fairlanes could have a Thunderbird Special V-8 engine as the top option and the Fairlane 500 R-Code could have a 427 V-8 big block, so it absolutely fits in with the cars one expects to see in a Fast and Furious movie.

The scene that the Fairlane shows up is a tense bridge chase scene where Dante has absconded with the main character Dom’s son, here is to hoping that his son and that beautiful old Ford make it through the picture all in one piece.

5 McLaren Senna

One of the best Fast X Cars and also one of the rarest, is the featured 2019 McLaren Senna. Jason Statham returns as his popular character Deckard Shaw in Fast X and gets to drive a very sporty red Senna. McLarens are already an exclusive and scarce sports car, but the Senna is particularly limited and is quite an infrequent sight since there were only 500 of them ever made.

The Senna is named after Formula One racer Ayrton Senna and is a very powerful and impressive machine. The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that pumps out 800 horsepower and 590 ft-lb of torque. It’s also very quick, it can go 0–60 miles in just 2.6 seconds, but that’s to be expected with a car with that much raw power.

4 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT

Italian cars are a must in a movie series revolving around races and car chases and the 1971 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT is one of the great Fast and Furious cars. The Alfa Romeo is featured in a car chase scene with the earlier mentioned Lamborghini in a very stylish shown in amber color with black racing stripes driven by Han Seoul-Oh portrayed by Sung Kang. Of course, in reality, the Alfa Romeo is no match for the powerhouse that is the Lamborghini Gallardo but the Alfa Romeo is no slouch either.

The 2000 GT puts out 127 horsepower and 153 lb-ft of torque, decent specs considering its relatively small engine size of 1.9 liters. It can go 0–60 miles per hour in 8.2 seconds which is pretty zippy and in line with more of a compact car.

3 Alfa Romeo 159 Police Car

Some of the best Fast X Cars are the Italian ones and Italians have some of the absolute coolest police cars in the world, Alfa Romeo 159 Police car. During the chase scene filmed on location in Italy between characters Roman Pearce in the yellow Lamborghini Gallardo and Han Seoul-Oh in his Alfa Romeo 2000 GT, it catches the attention of the local authorities.

Italians seem to do everything with style and elegance and if you have to be in hot pursuit, Alfa Romeo is definitely the one to do it in. The squad cars are finished in dark navy blue, with a white roof for contrast, and emblazoned on the sides a sort of lightning bolt design that gradually changes from orange to red, very sleek and extremely sporty.

2 Datsun 240Z

The Fast X Cast is lucky that gets to drive many amazing vehicles and Daniela Melchior got to drive a 1975 Datsun 240Z in the film. Melchior who plays the character Isabel Neves races a bright yellow 75’ 240Z that looks fantastic and unfortunately gets destroyed in the movie but here’s hoping the fate of the real vehicle is that it’s perfectly intact.

Of course, the movie featured many Japanese sports cars before including the Tokyo Drift installment in the series. Also called the Nissan S30 or Nissan Fairlady Z, the body seems to take visual inspiration from Porsche and has 151 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. With a top speed of 125 miles per hour, this little six-cylinder really gets around and looks great doing it.

1 Pagani Huayra Tricolore

One of the Best Fast X Car doesn’t see a lot of action but makes its presence known, the Pagani Huayra Tricolore. One of the rarest and most pricey cars in the entire Fast series it’s no surprise it’s not featured in any high action scenes. This car is absolutely beautiful, and it ought to be with a price tag of around 6.7 million.

It’s one of only three ever built, in a gorgeous grayish, navy blue with the Italian green, white, and red stripes along the side tapering out towards the back, and is a commemoration to the Italian Air Force. While it’s not going to be seen blazing through the streets racing or dodging cop cars it does make an appearance in a meeting that Vin Diesel throws where many rare cars show up and this Italian Supercar steals the show.
