Finally, the day we've been waiting for is finally here. The highly-anticipated Alfa Romeo supercar has finally been fully revealed to the world, and it looks absolutely fantastic. This comes after their live stream today, the 30th of August, at 17:00 CEST, titled “II Coraggio di Sognare” which translates to "The Courage to Dream". We welcome the brand new 33 Stradale.

Alfa Romeo plans to use this supercar to replace the 4C, which has been out of production for a couple of years now. Their last, and only real supercar however was the 8C, which last saw production in 2010. It's fair to say that fans of Alfa Romeo are thrilled to finally see the wait for a new incredible sports car from the brand come to an end. Alfa themselves are just as excited, with boss Jean-Philippe Imparato stating that the new 33 Stradale is a "project dream come true". This only rang more true through the presentation as the history of the original Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale was reminisced upon.

The Unveiling Of The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Evoked Passion And Nostalgia

The presentation took us through the rich history of the Alfa Romeo racing brand, how four important men came together to develop both the Tipo 33 and the 33 Stadale. They set the stage from the get go that the new car would be heavily inspired by the 33, telling us a "story with a happy ending".

As the lights began to flash and teasers of the supercar blinked on the screen at the back, anticipation reached an all-time high. With the welling of the music the new 33 Stradale appeared out of the darkness in a red fog. It was instantly evocative of the classic 33, with gullwing doors, a two-tone interior, and curves in all the right places.

Visually, the new 33 Stradale is beyond stunning. It is the perfect blend between the history of the Italian company and its future. Between the nostalgic elements lies incredible new technology. Alfa has clearly captured the essence of the time and its brand in what looks like an absolute work of art.

Some thought that the new Alfa Romeo supercar would ditch internal combustion engines entirely, yet a firey twin-turbocharged engine sits at the heart of the new 33 Stradale. This version of the 33 Stradale will produce an impressive 620 horsepower that will shoot through an eight-speed DTC gearbox. All this power is sent to the rear wheels and the supercar comes fitted with a top of the range electronic limited-slip differential.

Looking towards the future, Alfa Romeo seeks to reach full electrification. It makes sense then that their new 33 Stradale will also come in BEV set-up. This electric powertrain will deliver up to 750 horsepower and have an estimated range of 450 kilometers, just shy of 280 miles.

Alfa Romeo has heavily pulled from the Maserati parts bin, as has been the case forever. Many of the components in the new 33 Stradale come straight out of the Maserati MC20 supercar, including the internal combustion engines and dual-clutch transmissions.

The 33 Stradale is set to be churned out of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera's factory sometime next year, with production begining in June 2024. Alfa only plans to build 33 examples with all cars being sold. The new 33 Stradale clearly seeks to celebrate Alfa Romeo's heritage, this limited-run supercar captures the essence of what the original Alfa Romeo sports car was all about. We hope that Alfa will only continue down this path in terms of the design, vision, and engineering that clearly went into the development of this object of art and passion.
