We have some good news If you’ve always wanted to feel like WSBK racers. Kawasaki has introduced an uber-limited edition of its flagship superbike called the Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK Edition. It takes direct inspiration from the company’s crème de la crème race bike ridden by its factory riders, Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes. There are a handful of extra components as part of the package, all of which aim to make you feel like Jonny, albeit on the street. To jog your memory, Team Green and Jonathan Rhea are the most WSBK successful duo this century with six titles in the bag.

Right off the bat, the special edition ZX-10RR looks…well, special. Kawasaki has wrapped it in the colors of the WSBK-spec race bike, complete with sponsor stickers all around. Yes, it’s identical to the KRT option for the standard 10R, but this is way closer to the real deal. It’s also worth noting the ZX-10RR only comes in Lime Green as standard. In addition, a closer look at the WSBK Edition reveals a special plaque on the tank (with the serial number) and a race-spec bubble windscreen.

You Also Get Loads Of Bespoke Goodies With The WSBK Edition

While that’s it for the aesthetics, you do get a lot of other goodies with the bike. For starters, there’s an exclusive WSBK Edition box. It comprises two certificates of authenticity (hand-signed by each KRT rider), a customized key fob, and, our favorite, a glass box with a lasered model of your ZX-10RR. The final touch is a set of stickers with the racing numbers of Alex Lowes and Jonathan Rhea for you to customize the bike.

Under the skin, the special edition is based on the 2024 ZX-10RR. A 998cc, inline-four engine powers it, armed to the teeth with WSBK-spec components like a variable air intake system, titanium rods, and lighter pistons (than the 10R). Owing to these, the peak power is a whopping 214 horsepower (204 without ram air effect) and 82 pound-feet. Since that’s no joke, there are truckloads of rider aids at your mercy, such as traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control–you get the point. The only engine-wise update on the special edition is the carbon fiber Akrapovic slip-on.

Like the engine, the underpinnings come straight from the RR too. These include top-of-the-line suspension from Showa fore and aft, along with forged Marchesini wheels wrapped in Pirelli Supercorsa rubber. Braking prowess is thanks to Brembo monobloc calipers, meanwhile.
