Lincoln Motor Company has been on the warpath to reinvent itself and regain a strong foothold in the luxury segment. This journey started back in 2018 with its flagship SUV, the Lincoln Navigator. For the 2024 model year, they're aiming to expand on this effort with the all-new mid-size crossover SUV, the Lincoln Nautilus. The new Nautilus has undergone a significant transformation from its previous generation. From the complete overhaul of the interior, which now features new technologies and modern design concepts, to the availability of a hybrid powertrain on all models, this two-row family SUV is set to leave a mark on the segment.

Positioned to compete with the likes of the BMW X5, Audi Q8, the Genesis GV 80, and Lexus RX; the Nautilus has some tough competition. Being a completely new generation, however, provides the opportunity to gain an edge over the usual suspects. And from the looks of it, Lincoln is banking on just that. The 2024 Nautilus is slightly bigger than its predecessor, and definitely oozes those Navigator vibes, which can never hurt. The previous generation was a fancy car, but it lacked a little bit of panache, while the all-new 2024 Nautilus looks more like an Aviator both with its presence and all the interior tech available.

All technical specifications and features of the all-new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus were provided by the Lincoln Motor Company.

The Biggest Changes Are In The Interior

The new exterior design of the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is very easy on the eyes and incorporates some innovative ideas such as the lack of apparent exhaust tips at the rear, a design feature of modern times inherited from battery electric vehicles, and the clever door handles seen on the Lincoln Continental and the Aviator where you have a digital latch system on them to open the vehicle. Also new are front and rear dynamic lights with animations and a backlit Lincoln badge. Wheel options start at 19 inches and go all the way up to 22 inches.

But the real game changer is the interior. It is very modern and refined, almost looking like it belongs on a concept car, but we're talking about the production model here. The new interior is a testament to how committed Lincoln is to re-establishing their foothold in the luxury car segment. Once you see it on the interior, there is a wall of screens for you to behold. These screens are composed of two 23.8-inch displays, one in front of the driver and the other in front of the passenger.

Combined they make a 48-inch display, and you also have an 11.5-inch touchscreen on the center console. Google Maps is built in, and this is an all-new software system, unlike what you're going to find on current Lincolns or any other model in the industry. This is next-generation software, and it is standard equipment across the board. This truly feels like a game-changer for Lincoln.

There are available 24-way perfect position seats that are both heated and ventilated with a massaging feature and several green, sustainable materials used in the interior. That doesn't mean you need to opt out of available premium leather or sued Alcantara for that added touch of elegance and luxury, as well as some nice American walnut materials on the door panels.

In addition to the Chalet theme, Black-label models will offer a new Redwood theme that mimics the redwood forest with tree tree-inspired motif. As a finishing touch, Lincoln's wings are visible extending from the dash into the door panels, following Lincon's 'Quiet flight' design theme. But to really rejuvenate your senses, the Nautilus will feature digital scents and you can choose from three different fragrances.

Luxury And Comfort in the Back Seat

The back seat of the all-new Nautilus is very roomy and comfortable. This is a mid-size luxury SUV, and it doesn't feature a third row of seats. So the luxury that has come to be expected for someone who buys this kind of vehicle needs to be present in three rear seats as well.

It is easy to see how Lincoln took advantage of the increased wheelbase for the all-new Nautilus, and the legroom and headroom at the back are very generous. The floor is almost completely flat, and you also have air vents for the rear passengers. Lincoln did not save any resources with the materials at the back either, and they are just as good and well finished as the ones experienced by the driver and passengers, including ambient lightening and heated back seats.
